Meet Jonathan Bourdon (JBo), our ambitious, passionate, and motivated Carrier Sales Manager. We interviewed JBo to learn more about his journey over the years at Xpress Technologies.
“I’m passionate about doing the small things the right way. The big things will naturally take care of themselves.“
How has your role at Xpress Technologies evolved?
I started out as a Carrier Sales Rep, developing carriers and internal networking to better our customers. I was given the opportunity to join our Pilot team a couple of years later. With some hard work and dedication from everyone involved, we grew the team into what it is now, the Carrier Xperience team. It’s been an honor and a privilege to be one of the managers for this team.
What gets you up in the morning?
I’m highly motivated by my family and friends. But aside from that, I would say it is the unknown opportunities that each day can bring. Being able to be a part of an awesome team, surrounded by incredible support. Each day is meaningful, and that makes it that much easier.
What does an average day in your role look like?
I would have to say it looks like a theme park. Exciting to get in, can’t stand the wait, and ready to ride any rollercoaster that comes my way. Each day is a thrill, and when you add some communication along the way, it’s a heck of a ride.
What is something your teammates don’t know about you?
My nickname growing up given by my dad and brother was “Small Fry”. But I sure sprouted up and showed them!
What is your favorite thing about the Xpress Technologies culture?
Having a voice. I know it might sound cliché, but it’s important to feel included. XT really does want to hear what you have to say.
Who is your role model and why?
My parents. They just seemed like they had their life put together, and I really admire their relationship. You could say that was one of my earliest goals that came to mind, to be like my parents.
What are you most passionate about?
Growing up on the baseball field, I was constantly reminded to do the small things right. They might be tedious, but fundamentally were the reason for success. I’m passionate about doing the small things the right way. The big things will naturally take care of themselves.
What is your quote of the week?
“Work hard and pray”. My dad always said it, so I guess it just kind of stuck with me.
What 3 words would you describe your personality best?
This is your chance to be part of transforming one of America’s largest industries from the inside out.
